The mission of Lake Kirby Nature Park is to improve and expand the conservation efforts, educational programs, and family friendly recreation of this valuable resource for the enjoyment of all visitors. The West Texas Science Center is working with the City of Abilene to improve Lake Kirby facilities.

On the November 7th Bond Election

Walk, hike, & bike into the future of Abilene. Vote yes for the Lake Kirby Train in the upcoming bond election. The Lake Kirby Trail is the second of three phases in the Master Plan. It will eventually connect to the new Cedar Creek Trail.

Please vote YES for the future of Abilene outdoor recreation.
